Depends who else is released with him, if he goes then I reckon at least a couple of your choices might also be shown the door. I voted for Adam El-Abd, might be a bit early to give him the responsibility but he has shown enough on the pitch whenever I have seen him to convince me that he is leadership material.

Hammond, he'd have to improve his game though.

Where is the option for Gary Hart? Would be a good choice for club captain.

OGH if he was an option. Why Hammond though?A spineless performance every week, the tank has passed it but he would be my usual choice if he was as good as he used to be.Why not give Lynchy a go as captain? If it makes him up his game then he'll be a very good player and maybe a new Virgo.

Exactly - although Oatway has done a splendid job in my opinion

But if it had to be one of them, Hinshelwood for sure, or possibly Hart.

Not El-Abd IMHO.

Harty, then Adam Hinshelwood and then Fraser but we are about Falmer era by then...

If Oatway goes then Butters, if they both go then Hinsh.

Couldn't agree more.
One of our biggest downfalls last season was the fact that once Charlie got injured, we didn't have ONE leader on the pitch. And with the number of youngsters in the team, its no wonder we ended up sinking without a trace.

We need an experienced vocal CAPTAIN out there. Take Oatway out of the equation and unfortunately we have no-one who fits the bill.

So in that respect. How do you stand on having Beckham as England captain? As has been said there are 'different' kinds of captain.

Hopefully Oatway doesn't leave and remains captain. However, I refuse to vote until Hart is added as an option.
