Five of my mates were unlucky enough to be caught up in a very nasty car crash saturday night on the A27 near sompting two of the lads were taken by ambulance to chichester one was taken to brighton, one to southampton where he is still in a coma and the other one sadly did not make it,and the reason for this was that worthing was full and they want to close it.lives will be put at risk.

Shit mate, that is terrible. I have to say that the idea of reducing the service provided by Worthing Hospital is a crazy one if you think of the area it serves. The prospect of having to travel to either Chichester or Brighton, particularly from some of the more remote areas of mid-Sussex, will cost lives.

i remember him from school, the fact that he had a car full of mates and he had only just passed probably means that he was showing off and driving to fast or not driving safely, maybe even drunk. but still deepest sympathy to his family.

Tragic accident and my deepest sympathy goes to all his family and friends, I did'nt know the lad myself but my eldest son knew him from school. Closing Worthing A&E would be criminal and would definatly put lives at risk so it should'nt even be an option.

My my - that's a little bit uncalled for isn't it?

I am sorry for your loss BR.

I hope your other friends are able to recover.

We don't have an A and E within too many miles here either and ended up taking our daughter to Spain for treatment rather than wait for the NHs.

Very bad taste and totally uncalled for

If it's the truth, why is there a 'maybe' in there?

It's the truth that it might have happened, you cant all come on here and moan about what i said, for all you know it is true. Someone has to be realistic about these thing, car dont just crash for know reason, cars dont have a mind of their own, unless your cars called BRUM !

sometimes it better to think than it is to say, remember some of the lads are still very badly hurt one still in a coma, i have spoken to 3 of the lads and they are well shaken up and just need our surport at the moment
