there needs to be give an take on both sides. Last week i was coming home from work in burgess hill (in a car) over the downs, trying to get up that snaky windy road in my 1000cc car to be confronted with an "enthusiastic" cyclist insisting on riding up the hill at 1mile per hour. That road is so dangerous and with my underpowered motor i could not risk overtaking him and facing a head-on collision from oncoming traffic but rather than rant at him i bided my time. However doesnt stop him being an unsympathetic cyclist.. Now when ! was fit enough to cycle there i always had one eye behind me on the cycle and got out of the way for a few seconds to allow the car to pass.
I your case mate , frankly it would be safer for you to follow my cyclists example and cycle in the middle of the road if its narrow - force them to overtake you on the other side of the road when its safe for them to do.
See there..any unbiased view of a former cyclist and car driver who can where both hats and not blame anyone (or blame everyone
dependent on your point of view)
All road users should pay equal respect to all other road users - NONE OF US OWN IT!
