Would be nice to think so, but as I'm not a STH probably unlikely, sadly. But maybe catch up in town sometime

I've got 2 season tickets near the half way line, front row WSU and there's always a few matches where my sons can't make it so there will definitely be an opportunity. I'll drop you a message and we'll have a good catch-up.

Make sure he turns up at the right place. He got the train to Lewes last night but got off at Falmer. Have a great time although I really don't understand why people like golf. Maybe catch up next season at the Amex.

He told me about getting off at Falmer:lolol:

Wow - thanks, Buzzer! Should that ever be a possibility, that would be amazing.

Cheers, sincerely.

I too had no idea it was on until this thread popped up but by then I had other plans.

Also not having a pop at anyone, but it does seem slightly strange that an event that was started on NSC by NSCers due to the tragic death of an NSCer now receives little or no mention on NSC at all. To be clear, again, I'm not precious about this. It's all about the charity raising as much as possible in order to have as big an impact as possible, but given thousands of Albion fans visit NSC every day, it does seem to be strange to bypass it. I'm sure there's good reason though.

I'll try to keep an eye out for it next year and make sure it gets a big mention. BTW - this photo in the programme made me chuckle. "World's least magnanimous winners" is about right!

I actually put up two or three threads (or certainly started and reposted in one) advertising it about 2-3 months ago, and it fell off the front page very quickly.

Very little interest it seemed.

I know you've done your best Al. But it does seem a shame that there is seemly snobbery of NSC. I played in the first few games of the Remf, I think until 2006 or so, and NSC was at the heart of the charity getting off the ground. We even had discussions about setting up a fans team called NSC Albion after the first successful penalty shoot out against the palace.
I know that it was always tricky with team selection when the "trials" were made public on NSC and there were a few years where the forum went into meltdown about team selection.
Just seems a shame that there was so little participation and publicity from and within NSC since here was the genesis of the whole charity thanks to Gareth Glover, and us early pioneers!
Glad to hear we beat them and Ricky Marlowe is still going strong..

Yeah absolutely. It's a great night and getting as many people there is what it's about.

Agreed. Hopefully all the arguments about it are in the past and we can all just enjoy it for what it is. It was the first time my Palace supporting mate had come along and he's a definite for next year. It's a great antidote to the bitter rivalry and I know I've said it before but reinforces the fact that Palace and Brighton fans are hewn from the same stone. It just so happens that we support the better side.

I was one of the frozen blokes behind the goal on Friday.
I was Rob Eaton's football manager for a season.
He used to buy us chocolate stuff when he came back from the States I seem to remember.

I was the bloke who tried putting off their penalty taker by flicking Vs from behind the goal. Didn't work but it embarrassed my two sons so not entirely a wasted effort.

The standard of football has dramatically increased, a few of us have thought about the best way to recruit, maybe do an open session, charge £5 which all goes to remf and pick a squad from there

The toughest thing is the standard is now so high. You need a competitive squad and it's a really tough thing having to cut players, I think we had 45 enquire this year
