There is a whole album of Cream BBC Sessions, and John Peel certainly championed them!

Release the bats. Better than the album version. Saw them 3 times when they were dangerous (one of them got banged up for armed robbery). The last time I saw them they were supporting The Fall in Hammersmith. That was a night.

Shame none of their very early Peel stuff is on youtube. They were accused of 'selling out' by making 'disco music' FFS. Much as folk (gedditt) walked out of Dylan gigs when he went electric. Always worth remembering the times they are always a-changing.
