Hardly bother with any films these days, though mrsww dragged me against my better judgement to see 3d Avatar, and my better judgement was spot on.

Never seen Dr Strangelove or any of the Pink Panther movies, and having seen bits of Titanic on the telly I wouldn't countenance the whole thing.

Never managed beyond the first 10 mins of Citizen Cane, and as for Marx Brothers films, well,I'd almost rather go to Selhurst Park.

The first Mad Max is a pile of shit that's supposed to be classic. The 2nd is a great film and thankfuly is nothing like the first which doesn't seem to have a storyline but does seem to have lots of poorly shot scenes of Gibbo and his Mrs chasing each other around a country farm and through some woods onto a beach. Only at the end does he even go slightly "Mad" for about 8 minutes after his wife and child get run over, the only bit of which we see is a childs cheap shoe rolling into the road.

Loads of "classics" I've not seen, but my biggest regret is never having seen The Italian Job (the real one, not some shitty Hollywood remake) on the big screen. Seen it loads on telly, but never at a cinema.

I keep hoping Duke of Yorks will show it some time soon.

I know I'll get stick for this but I thought both The Italian Jobs were a bit poo. And I never liked Quadraphenia either. Sorry.

...yes, when I'm working. It's often on in the day - but that's not very helpful for non-students and dole-ites

Do you want me to watch it for you and tell you what happens?
I've seen it before, but could go through it again.

In the future, check when it's on and take a holiday to watch it.

Watch Se7en as SOON as you get a chance. Darkened room obviously. One of the scenes towards the end is one of the best pieces of acting I've ever seen.

I'm with you on 12 Angry Men. Amazing stuff. I still smile thinking of the screwed up bit of paper the sports-lover tosses against the fan, that fights the intense heat of the room, and rebounds to strike the elderly, but just old gentleman on the snout. His scowling look of surprise and displeasure was done perfectly.
A young guy at work who likes dross like Invictus and hip-hop movies i made borrow it from me and even he said it was a blinder.

I'm sorry but no matter how good anything is NOTHING wipes the floor with Goodfellas.

It`ll be a long time before I can believe in you again after that outlandish statement.

Never managed to sit through the whole of Blade Runner, found it tedious.

Never sat through Easy Rider either though I like JN thought it was poor.

Gone With The Wind - never bothered with it

Loads that are considered classic that I have either watched and found bad or just never bothered with.

Apocolypse now I watched twice and never saw what the fuss was about. Never got the furore over the godfather films either. Good and entertaining enough but I wasn't overly impressed tbh.

Agree with most of that, though Blade Runner is a cracking film. On the Godfather films, the first one is brilliant but I really don't understand why it's generally accepted the second one is better than the first - the first is MILES better

Citizen Kane and er...Brazil? its got incredibly high reception (rotten tomatoes giving it 98% and it being put no.1 on 50 films you must see before you die by channel 4), but then again its liked a lot by the far right movement in america so I don't know...

Brazil is? Really? I suppose that would down to the whole 'bureaucracy choking the freedom of the world' thing. One of my favourite films and I'm certainly not far right :)
