Native Sons by The Long Ryders
Lost and Found by Jason and the Scorchers

I loved 'Native Sons'. I now want to go and dig out my copy. I may grab Green On Red's 'No Free Lunch', Let's Active's 'Big Plans For Everybody' & The Miracle Legion's 'Me and Mr Ray' and make an afternoon of it.

If I may suggest as a genre "childish parody albums that amused me as teenager and therefore still love today", then there's a choice of two albums (same 'band')

The Shirehorses (Mark & Lard):
The Worst...Album in the World...Ever...EVER!
Our Kid, Eh

My wife absolutely HATES them both, so I guess you had to be there

I love these threads, I'll give a listen to many on here.
I remember standing in HMV aged about 19 when it was still on Western Road opposite the top of Preston Street feeling slightly frustrated that there will be an album in here that I'd love but will never get to listen to.

My eldest daughter and I tried to work out how long it would take to listen to Spotify in its entirety
there are approx. 82 million tracks on Spotify, Let's say the average song is 3 minutes. If you were to listen to one million of those songs back to back, it would take nearly 6 years

82 x 6 = 492 years...

Your thinking is part of what fuels my interest and love of music….it’s never ending and there’s always something else.

You’ve reminded me…someone on NSC was attempting to listen to all the albums listed in the book 1000 Albums to Listen to Before you Die. Possibly Mellotron?

The music threads on here kept me going over the last 2 years, Super Steve Earl's 'Best song you've heard today' thread, in particular, has been one of my all time my favourites. It caused me to get lost daily in YouTube wormholes of music, and really jogged my musical memory, it also opened my mind to many different genres I would never have considered. Anyway, here's a few classic albums that are favourites of mine,

Simon & Garfunkel - Bridge Over Troubled Water
The Doors - The Doors
Deep Purple - Deep Purple In Rock + Made In Japan
Rod Stewart - "Every Picture Tells A Story"
Supertramp - Crime Of The Century + Breakfast In America
Queen - Sheer Heart Attack
Simple Minds - Glittering Prize
Go West - Bangs And Crashes
Erasure - The Innocents + Wild

Glittering prize is a greatest hits album (bloody good mind)
