What a professional performance tonite! Showed real class with some good all round play.Patient,counter attack,direct balls.Mixed the game up really well.Some real quality without the ball aswell. Pressing at right times and defending with intelligence although Duffy got away with one situation. The touch for AK was a special moment and one which shows the strong spirit throughout the squad. Hughton and his staff deserve huge credit for all they are doing! We dont need Parachute payments,we`ve got Chris Hughton!

Watching tv tonight, a thoroughly professional performance. BC not a threat after early pressure and Steve Sidwell's wonderstrike. Very emotional celebration showing togetherness of squad. Very proud to be an albion fan tonight. Keep it going and we are on our way!
I still can't work out why posters were getting irate about being labelled 'defensive & direct' by Alex Neil.
That's exactly what this squad is, and they're currently fookin brilliant at it.
After either the 3rd or 4th goal last week, Norwich had 3 separate attacks, before they could properly get their own act together the Albion had 6 players + Stockdale in the penalty area.
The same was happening tonight.
We're rightly proud of all the headed clearances, but they only happened because it was impossible to go through all the defensive players.
Then at every creditable opportunity it feels like all of the team are hammering forward, aiming straight at their goal.
There's no (very little) pissing around with the ball, passing for passings sake.
No neat Bridcutt induced triangle passing, just slick, quick, direct, attacking play.
Alex Neil knew what the Albion were all about and got beat 5-0.

No diving, no cheating, hard fought but not dirty, everyone played well and worked hard, The fans were the 12th man too, we look like a strong unit in all areas.
Even some of the trolls on here will have to admit--------

Have been saying that for the last two seasons , still think we were the best team in the league last season , after a quiet start to this season we are beginning to play again and are looking a very strong team
I've just been looking on Owlstalk( Wednesday's board for the uninitiated), they are very complimentary about us

Amazing and very worrying the difference between the two sides at the moment
If we were to play them next week id be very worried.
Strong at the back and direct going forward.
Everything we aren't at the moment.

They should be worried.
Last year we were in a different league to Sheffield Wednesday.
This year we're in a different league to 2015-16 Brighton & Hove Albion.

Just got back....Duffy and Dunk are too good for this division, they are immense. A thoroughly professional display, win the first half then get the cigars out, there was no way City were scoring against us this evening.
