Don’t watch him

Thoroughly enjoy reading his columns in The Times, usually funny.

But as far as being ‘cancelled’ - he lives by the sword so he dies by the sword, made a living out of making outrageous statements so only a matter of time before it all ended in tears.

Agree it's an act but a bloody tiresome one nowadays and it's still him, just dialed up a few notches. So, still a bellend much the same way as Piers Morgan is, imho.
PM needs a slap, with an aluminium baseball bat. I blame him for making Clarkson worse, JC was possibly fence briefly, but down there with Morgan now.

How soon is now?
I largely like him.

I suspect CLARKSON is largely an act he puts on, with considerable success, whilst Jeremy Clarkson is probably a decent chap. I certainly think he comes across well int the Farm series and I find the Grand Tour a good watch, if often quite predictable.
I’d like to meet him.
I work for a media star who has a media persona, and I used to think he was a twat! Actually when you meet the guy he’s really nice and i realised that when you point a camera at him he just turns into the cartoon character that he’s perceived to be.
Clarkson might still be a twat, but I’d like to be in a position to find out

This.

He used to be wry and knowing, an agent provocateur. Over the last few years he's gone full dickhead. Never go full dickhead.

Not so sure about that really... This is him, not his persona https://www.grough.co.uk/magazine/2...on-loses-human-rights-case-over-manx-footpath

In December last year, the motormouth presenter crossed swords with the outdoor community when he said he objected to RAF and Royal Navy helicopters being used to rescue injured walkers.

He said: “I’m not really surprised to hear that the navy and RAF’s rescue services will soon come to an end.

“Politicians say we can’t afford them. Military bigwigs say neither service was set up to rescue Janet Street-Porter if she trips us and gets a hurty ankle.

“I’m afraid I have an objection, too. I don’t mind paying for schools and hospitals because a civilised country must help those who cannot afford to help themselves.

“But why should I fund the rescue of a rambler?

“He or she chose to go out there in the mountains. He or she knew the risks. And I’m sorry but if they fall over and get gangrene, they can’t furtle around in my wallet for assistance.”

I don’t mind him and admire his real writing skill.

He hasn’t changed, he also always wrote very non-pc stuff/wind ups in newspaper columns. Pleased when car thieves “vermin” driving through populated areas at 80mph killed themselves rather than innocents.

The day we whitewash out everyone not towing one view will imho be sad. I love the melting pot of views in democracies.

Find most things he’s on a bit scripted and fake. Not a huge fan of him on TV but I wouldn’t care enough to have him band from TV.

This, I suspect that he has found a way to be outrageous and offensive for money and exposure and he is milking it. Sometimes as he dances around the line he steps over it and goes too far.

just that in itself would make him a dickhead/knob/berk for me!

I should have added, I’m a car fan/I’m not a car fan to the options. I reckon most who like him also like motoring, those who don’t prefer a bike or a hike
Without being a petrolhead, I like cars. Can’t stand Clarkson. Voted knobhead.

And Richard Hammond is a cocky arrogant little twerp too.
