I do, one of my favourite TV programmes with him as host.
Given the choice of a night out with Clarkson or one with Megane, it would be a complete no brainer for me too

There doesn't to be anything in the story about Clarkson being axed, only that ITV haven't commissioned a new series after the next one.
The "format" has moved around but now appears to be owned by Sony. It's a big international thing now.
Interesting fact. The original company who made it was part owned by Jasper Carrot and his wife. When he sold it he was very much made a millionaire.

It’s not his presenting that bothers me, used to quite enjoy Top Gear in its heyday but he’s just a bit of a **** isn’t he.
