I wonder if Tuchel could have made a bigger impact with substitutions. Real made 3 substitutions around the 70 / 75 minute mark and then scored 2 goals to win the tie.

Tuchel brought on Pulisic on 83 mins then made 3 more subs in extra time after conceding the 2 goals ie too late.

These days some managers seem reluctant to use their 3 / 5 subs- perhaps they underestimate the impact of fresh legs? Throwing three fresh players on the pitch vs a team of 11 tired players can really turn things.
