Wrexham are in with a good shout now Ryan Reynolds has personally installed a fully working aqueduct which also doubles as a waterslide to access The Racecourse Ground.

Who get's your vote? Derby shining out as the obvious winner I'd say :)

EDIT: Just spotted that Gillingham (included in Medway) is in with a shout as well. Oh dear.

This is the first year towns in areas have been able to combine for the bid. Disappointing that the cultural hub of Worthing, Findon and Ferring didn't put itself forward.

The full list of bidders for UK City of Culture 2025 is:

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon
The City of Bangor and Northwest Wales
The Borderlands region, comprising Dumfries and Galloway, Scottish Borders, Northumberland, Cumbria and Carlisle City
Bradford
Conwy County
Cornwall
Derby
County Durham
Lancashire
Medway
City of Newport
Powys
Southampton
Stirling
The Tay Cities region
Torbay and Exeter
Wakefield District
City of Wolverhampton
Wrexham County Borough
Great Yarmouth and East Suffolk

But no monorail. When will they ever learn?

Boris screwed Northern Ireland with his Brexit deal. To keep them less unhappy from September 26thish we have to scrap our GB car plates for UK plates. On this basis my money is on the City Armagh conglomerate.
My brain says it will go to the biggest Tory donating property developer’s area.

I’d bet on County Durham by the way.

Excellent thread, and one which needs to be kept alive as the competition continues.

Is there any grudge between Conwy and Bangor?

My vote goes to Great Yarmouth out of that lot. Home of the first ever aerial bombing in history = CULTURE

= INSIGHT in my book

Hele should swing it for Torbay

Not the same since the paper mill closed, HP.

Chuck Dawlish in and we have the elderly folks backing too.

I think an Olympic bid could be in the offing.

Brighton factually.....
So the guy in the house on the right lent his ladder to his neighbour but ran out of paint when he got half way up and the guy in the house on the left ran out of paint when he got half way down....

And the guy on the left of the house on the left, let Michael J. Fox do it.
