Lisbon is up there as my favourite City break. Been umpteen times And seen every side of it. Food, wine, beer all Fab. Reasonable prices , although no where near as cheap as 10 years ago. I guess unsurprisingly.

if going and have time. A trip out to Sintra is amazing and Belem area.

I wish everyone would shut-up about Lisbon and thereby stop it becoming the next Prague. But, OK then, I’ll chip-in. What I love most is the cityscape. Hills and contours make a city and you have that everywhere in Lisbon with winding steps, public lifts, and funicular railways. In parts the streets are as narrow and windy as Seville but then it breaks out into wide fascist-era boulevards with enormous ornate sculptures and fountains. It has loads of museums (I gave the milk museum a miss) with the Gulbenkian topping the lot with the quality of its artifacts.
