Very nice indeed.

We have a current squad who have taken us 8 points above third with a game in hand and a great goal difference. We don't need to upset the apple cart. A youngster like this is just what we need.

Murray / Hemed
Baldock /Akpom

2 out of those 4 together in any order would be fine by me.

I'd be very pleased if this happens. I don't know what people are expecting. We haven't got millions to spend. A top quality youngster on loan from a top prem club is exactly what I think we should be after.

I do wonder if he's being seen as an option on the left wing also...

We supposedly signed a top quality player on loan from a a top Premier team in Chelsea. Just because they come from a Premier league club it doesn't give them divine right to be special.

Exactly the kind of thing I was expecting. Sure CH will have considered any attitude issues and be confident he can deal with them. Could be the making of the lad.

Exactly. Surprised by some of the 'disappointment' on here.

If we get up, we'll need to reevaluate the entire squad, so this makes good sense to me.

Let's go for a proven league 1 player then..... This does not always work either, as has been proven.

Not sure what everyone is expecting. The January window is challenging in any case.

Last year Boro signed 5 players in this window one being Rhodes. Thy won promotion. Just showing the comparison.

Yer but if he's a rotten apple then that's not what we need to unsettle the camp.

I look forward to seeing him play (if he signs)

Wasn't the lad from Chelsea brought in to replace Hunt in the squad. Or, in other words, he was brought in as 3rd(or possibly 4th) choice right back. That is, at least, what I assumed.

Its a key pattern, look at most automatic promotion teams, they beef up the squad in Jan.
