Just watched the tail end of Planes, Trains and Automobiles, then saw the Snowman and the Snow Dog and now watching Chariots of Fire....so many lovely yet sad films about friends, bonding and hope ....Chariots is particularly moving due to the recent loss of Vangelis. What gets everyone else at crimbo ?

Well, I had my `customary weep at the end of Planes, Trains and Automobiles earlier on, and the other day I saw the last half of The Railway Children for the first time in years. I wept, obviously.

A review of the year. Realising that another year gone where we could have done so much to improve our society and it's been flushed down the proverbial toilet.
