'Someday At Christmas' by Stevie Wonder.

Someday at Christmas men won't be boys
Playing with bombs like kids play with toys
One warm December our hearts will see
A world where men are free

Someday at Christmas there'll be no wars
When we have learned what Christmas is for
When we have found what life's really worth
There'll be peace on earth

The ITV program this eveing of the top 10 favourite Christmas tunes suprisingly didnt include Misletoe & Wine. Apparently a load of old has been pop artists are going to put all 10 on a charity Album on 22nd December.

I'm not keen on many Christmas songs. A couple of exceptions are The Waitresses Christmas Wrapping and Kid Creole's Christmas on Riverside Drive.

I also have a sneaky regard for Bruce Springsteen's take on Santa Claus is coming to Town. Bit of a guilty pleasure that one.

Greg Lake - I Believe in Father Christmas. A song not quite as naff as the title suggests.

They said there'll be snow at Christmas
They said there'll be peace on Earth
But instead it just kept on raining
A veil of tears for the Virgin's birth

I remember one Christmas morning
A winters light and a distant choir
And the peal of a bell and that Christmas Tree smell
And their eyes full of tinsel and fire

They sold me a dream of Christmas
They sold me a Silent Night
And they told me a fairy story
'Till I believed in the Israelite

And I believed in Father Christmas
And I looked at the sky with excited eyes
'Till I woke with a yawn in the first light of dawn
And I saw him and through his disguise

I wish you a hopeful Christmas
I wish you a brave New Year
All anguish pain and sadness
Leave your heart and let your road be clear

They said there'll be snow at Christmas
They said there'll be peace on Earth
Hallelujah Noel be it Heaven or Hell
The Christmas we get we deserve.

Throw in a refrain of Prokofiev and you're away...
