Ours is a week on Friday

We're staying at a big country house hotel in Hertfordshire. We're getting there in time for fat-boy breakfasts, then the blokes are going to go and destroy their golf course whilst wives / girlfriends go off for pampering and massages etc. (Although I think 2 of the women have elected to play golf this year). Then we'll all meet up for lunch together, and then a swim and a sauna in the afternoon. Then early evening drinks, change into dinner suits, black tie, slightly ropey Christmas dinner, make idiots of ourselves on the dance floor, then back to the bar till no one can stand up anymore, then bed. Breakfast in bed Saturday morning, then taxis home and not back at work till Sunday!!

We pay for it all ourselves by putting into a fund every month through the year, but it's worth it.

Update:
Fatboy breakfast - excellent! (Especially as I nicked Dave's hash browns when he wasn't looking); golf was great fun. Finished by 2pm, then sat in the bar until 6:30pm. Dinner at 7:30pm. I OWNED the dance floor big time - then everything gets a bit hazy after that as apparently Dave shipped a load of vodka into my wine as revenge for the hash brown theft...

The band had a punch up in the interval with some guys from another table, the police were called, and they all went off in vans so a disco was hastily arranged by the hotel management.
I was hammered and went walkabout at about 1am, in need of fresh air, and ended up sleeping in a barn on the golf course till about 3am.

Still made breakfast the next day, and even got a generous round of applause when I staggered into the restaurant covered in mud and twigs. Shaken, but not stirred
