Any Month ending in BER is Christmas here, Christmas music is played in Malls and on the radio, but officialy all the Malls and public places light up on Nov 1st.

My lights are up and sparkling, along with my indoor decorations (but no tree)

Join in and enjoy it, no point in being a scroodge

Do you mean the house on The Avenue? I think he (I assume it's a he) switches them on after Bonfire Night or Halloween. They weren't on in mid-October when I went past in the evening but they certainly are now - as they are every year.
