Christmas dinner?

We'll be having a traditional dinner, but on Boxing Day.
Family. Ordered a 6 week hung forerib of beef from a farm in Scotland, had one last year and it was just fantastic. I do the cooking. Bake-off fan and talented cook daughter will do dessert, much champers and wine will be drunk, probably with neighbours in the morning before I fall asleep after lunch on the sofa during some traditional board games late afternoon, waking up for cheese and biscuits, with a vintage port or two. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Christmas lunch with wife and kids at The Connaught this year. Stress free
Goose this year - first time I'll have cooked that. All participants other than me are nervous about straying from the normal turkey and beef dinner - sod 'em, I say. If they don't want goose, they can always cook their own Xmas dinner.

How soon is now?
I don't like turkey, and as I do the cooking for 10 I tend to suggest an alternative and see what the family's thoughts are. This year, pork belly as we've had beef for the last 2 years

At the Grand with wife, thee kids and mum, this will be a first as all but youngest who's 12 will be able to enjoy alcohol should they wish......
Two Christmas' for me. Weekend of 17th a family one with Turkey etc. Then buggering of to rural France to get away from all the craziness and it will be duck with a nice Saumur red followed by some cheese.
Is it customary for hairdresser's assistants to have turkey, then?
