Panettone. Usually so stuffed that the thought of anything heavy or stodgy would do me in.

Vienetta for us this year, a classic, sure it will go down a storm with our guests Mrs Crodo Snr and Giles and Polly.

The King of desserts for sure.

We managed to pick up two for £1.50 a few weeks ago, so we shall be positively GORGING on it over the festive period.

I was only going to get one, but threw caution to the wind. It's Christmas after all, so I splurged the additional 50p top secure a second one.

Wot no Ferraro Rocher? ??? The ambassador will hear of this!

That is patently not a dessert. Not in ENGLAND anyway.

I have been charged with finding a Tiramisu this year. Wouldn't be my choice, but then I'm usually too stuffed from the dinner to bother with dessert so what do I care. M&S should snort it.

Make one, it's a piece of piss. Mascarpone, mixed with read mix custard with a bit of tia maria. Break up trifle sponges and mix it in. Sprinkle drinking chocolate on the top or fine grate dairy milk and leave to set!

Why would I do all that FAFF when I can spend that valuable time drinking port and shouting at children ?
