If you overindulge at breakfast then you’re doing Christmas Day wrong IMHO, the centrepiece of the gorging should commence with dinner and then continue for days until it runs out, filling yourself up at breakfast ruins it

How do people have a full English then a roast as well as all the other stuff
Very much this.

I'm not generally much of a breakfast person anyway, but the thought of waking up and immediately cramming my gaping maw with half the stuff people on here are wanging on about just BEFORE a cuffing great roast with all the trimmings, plus the inevitable aftermath of slabs of cheese, pickles and Matchmakers - bloody hell. I'd be as sick as next doors dog.

MAYBE a bit of toast and/or a crumpet, washed down with a spritzer. But a full-blown MEAL beforehand in the AM?? Get in the sea.

Cereal or oats and coffee. And WTF is Quinoa Salad? Sounds like something you should be eating breakfast from. Add in Grits and you have the main ingredients for wallpaper hanging.

Christmas is all about over-indulgence. Start strong, and just keep going until you burst.

I think we're having a curry-based meal later on including a spiced shoulder of lamb for the carnivores and various dhals and veggie curries for those who aren't, so I'm hoping for a nice veggie cooked breakfast in the morning - poached or scrambled eggs, beans, Cauldron veggie sausages etc.

We always have a full english fry up on xmas day morning, it's the only way to do it and with all of the days festivities it is important to fill up before we settle down for xmas lunch around noon.

Bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, a poached egg, toasted bread, beans, hash brown, white pudding, mushrooms.
