To answer the OP we didn’t miss a trick as West Brom would neither sell or loan him back to us despite the player wanting to extend his loan.

He was on loan to us, a League 1 club, from PL West Brom went on international duty with NZ, and came back with attitude. He thought he was better than us, even though we’d just won the division. I’m not sure the club made any move to sign him.

I didn’t see that. He was only 18. I thought he was a very good loan signing and clearly had a big future ahead of him.
