Chris Wood has always looked comfortable in front of goal. We've had umpteen chances to sign him. Would have made a valuable squad player at the very least. Proper value for money striker.

The fact they kept loaning him out suggests he was available.

We should have got him back in 2011, when it was obvious that Murray was on his way up the A23, although some of fans always thought he was rubbish, but these are the same people that think Ward, Hammond etc etc are rubbish.

I was at the Fans Forum in 2011 when Poyet was asked about him, and he said he wasn't given a chance. Maybe West Brom didn't want to loan him out straightaway, then changed their minds and let him go to Millwall?
