depends what your ambitions are , look where barnsley are

Where Barnsley are is irrelevant.

John Byrne
Mike Small
Leon Knight
Bobby Zamora
Peter Ward

All signed from teams worse than us.

Leroy Lita was supposedly from a better team.......

What is wrong with some people.

Agree, was at Rochdale game as well and he caused us trouble all game, just because he's playing for Barnsley doesn't make him shite. (This is the point when I say "no disrespect to Barnsley")

depends what your ambitions are , look where barnsley are

What does that have to do with anything? We missed out on Ian Wright from non league, Roy Keane from part time football in Ireland. Bridcutt was unattached. Murray came from Rochdale. Zamora came from Bristol Rovers, Lawrenson from Preston etc etc etc

Posh Spice is a slapper,
She begs for anal daily,
And when she's shagging Beckham,
She thinks of Chris O'Grady

I think it's time we tried to become better people and reduce the misogynistic crudeness in our fan base....

Posh Spice ain't no slapper,
she really is a lady,
and when she's hugging Beckham
she thinks of Chris O'Grady.

A Barnsley fan that I have known for many years describes O'Grady as an average League 1 player at best. If anyone thinks he's good enough for a club who claim that they are aiming for the premier league they are very much mistaken. I hope we're not paying anything for him.

Ambition? Not when it comes to signing new players with some quality.

They get abused for incessant moaning, not for having a different view. It's the difference between "I think we might have made a mistake" and "the club are a joke".

A joke is not a bad description based on what we have seen on the transfer in front so far this season although it pains me to say so.

Is this the new reality?

Boring. So boring. Moan moan moan

Also, whatever your Barnsley mate might say, others clearly don't agree. And 15 goals in a relegated Championship side speak for themselves.

Already replied to your other post. Same again here. Moan moan moan. Always the same people who moan whatever the club do. If he turns out to be the Ulloa replacement (which I doubt), then there might be cause but, as I've asked to others, what would you expect as back up striker in the Championship?

I will willingly pay £50 to REMF if O'Grady joins us and scores more than 10 goals this season. Does anyone want to take me up on this?

A striker who is better than O'Grady would be a start. I doubt our Championship rivals will be quaking in their boots at the prospect of facing our strikers this year.

We are aiming for the Premiership? Last time I checked that was the plan anyway, so the people on this thread who have criticised the proposed transfer are not 'moaning', they are stating a quite obvious point that a striker who is clearly not good enough for the top division, is being signed to aid us in achieving our ultimate goal. This is not a good signing, as a replacement or back up.
