What does that have to do with anything? We missed out on Ian Wright from non league, Roy Keane from part time football in Ireland. Bridcutt was unattached. Murray came from Rochdale. Zamora came from Bristol Rovers, Lawrenson from Preston etc etc etc

A Barnsley fan that I have known for many years describes O'Grady as an average League 1 player at best. If anyone thinks he's good enough for a club who claim that they are aiming for the premier league they are very much mistaken. I hope we're not paying anything for him.

A striker who is better than O'Grady would be a start. I doubt our Championship rivals will be quaking in their boots at the prospect of facing our strikers this year.

Last time I checked that was the plan anyway, so the people on this thread who have criticised the proposed transfer are not 'moaning', they are stating a quite obvious point that a striker who is clearly not good enough for the top division, is being signed to aid us in achieving our ultimate goal. This is not a good signing, as a replacement or back up.
