yes, because i have never listened to it and when he first came to radio 1 i would not have given him a chance to listen to him to make a judgement and everywhere i go people turn radio one off for me, you point proves mine really

It's just ridiculous that people are commenting on this based on AWFUL journalism. People should judge this on what it was, not what the papers have served up. He recently took a 25% pay cut, that fee will be for all BBC work / appearances too I imagine. Fair enough, but working for Radio 1's flagship show, broadcasting to what, 8-9m people a day and not getting paid for 2 months is disgusting, whether you like him or not, surely this should not be an acceptable situation, or is it OK because of his salary?

Fair enough point, a contract works both ways and he should be paid on time. However - as one of his listeners (quickly dismissed by Moyles himself) dared to point out, if you earned even the lowest figure quoted in any of the press reports, you'd probably cope for a few weeks without being paid. If any of us goes unpaid for two months, we fret about the mortgage and take it up with HR. He goes bitching on air to the millions of people from whose licence fees his salary is drawn. I bet his diamond shoes are too tight and his fifties won't fit in his wallet either, poor lamb.

I'm 36, I really enjoy his show

As for his rant, I thought it was entertaining, that's the point isn't it?

And I earn a decent amount of money and I get pissed off if I'm not paid for two months. Anyway, if you listened, his point wasn't so much that he hadn't been paid, but that people fobbed him off when he asked about it.
