Bloody hell. Like others I was a bit fearful for next season, but I really wasn't expecting this. Very very mixed feelings at the moment. In fact no, they're not mixed, I'm sad. This might be the best thing for BHA FC but it's a sad day, a bloody sad day.

All I can is I wish CH all the very best for the future, and if he brings a team to the Amex (which I sincerely hope he will) I'll applaud him until my hands fall off.

Not sure how anyone can be so shocked as some are on this thread, not to mention some quite vindictive language with regards to the Chairman who is protecting what is a huge financial interest and an emotional one as a fan, but that's NSC for you.

Wow. Didn't see this coming, certainly not so soon. Can't believe the club have done this without potential succesors already identified. Expect some more news in the next week so they can have a full pre-season.

I'm shocked to be honest, didn't see it coming. He leaves with his head held high and I'll be for ever grateful for the work he's done in taking us to the promised Land . Fair well Chris .

Really surprised, but I can see the logic. MASSIVE decision to take to bring the right person in now though.

It's gobsmacking - great man, made us Premier League - kept us (just) Premier League - ought really to have had the send off he deserved. Always a place in Albion's history, currently top of the pile IMO

Lost the changing room so inevitable I’m afraid.

Thanks for everything Chris, strap in for an exciting summer.

Can't see how people are surpised about this. 3 wins in 23 games the most boring footy in years and just escaping relegation. CH is a great championship manager and no doubt a cluster of clubs will now chase him. However his overtly defensive attitude and inability to change it cost him. ONLY TB knows why but it's his money and he can make the choices

Firstly, I’d like to say thanks Chris for job you’ve done. From Championship relegation candidates to a second Premier League season with a decent FA cup run attached. The best manager from my 25 years of being on this earth. I’m surprised as Brighton are where I’d expect them to be with our squad. The form has not been good however. Tony has made his millions from gambling and wise investments, but this must’ve been a tough call.

To make this decision now is the right time though. Now a new manager has a whole preseason to prepare.

From the TV coverage I must of missed City fans singing “Sacked in the morning, you’re getting sacked in the morning!”. Anyone else hear it?

Shocked and dissapointed, have a horrible feeling we will live to regret this decision.

Thanks Chris for your hard work and success you have delivered, you deserved better.

I think an announcement before yesterdays game that CH was to leave by mutual consent would have been far more gracious . . . . although maybe he has been sacked because he wouldn't go ? Perhaps he feels he's been harshly sacked and judged . . . . we don't know enough either way. Given this seasons form It's no huge shock, and most agree we look favourites for relegation next season based on this season . . . . . no football for a few months but there will be a hell of a lot going on behind the scenes . . . . we may even find out if some of last seasons signings are any good come September!

Shame it wasn't announced yesterday and we could have shown our appreciation after the game. Also hope he wasn't 'sacked' and more mutual consent agreement.

Wasn't expecting that, but oddly not overly surprised either. Glad in some ways that TB is showing a ruthless streak. Clearly completed his assessment of the season and decided a change is needed.

Thanks Chris for all you've done, and with so much integrity and decency. Created many happy memories and we wouldn't be where we are without you.

Couldn't put my own feelings better than that. A mixture of great sadness and excitement.

I hadn't put anything on here before, but my brother told me a couple of weeks ago that someone he knows who lives near the Training Centre (My brother is in Sompting) reported that Bruno Genesio, outgoing coach of Olympique Lyonnais, had been seen down there.
