It was an unfortunate end to Hughton's time, but I (cautiously) agreed with Bloom then and with hindsight he has vindicated that decision. Understandable that people didn't like the way it happened but Bloom had made his mind up that he had not done enough, and to be honest was there much point in keeping Hughton around if you were just going to sack him either way? The football was poor and I think Tony sensed it was relegation form. The first three seasons were basically us nailed on as amongst the favourites for the drop so damned it we did damned if we didnt.
