I've heard good things about him, has been linked to Norwich this window as well.

Clubs like Peterborough seem to do well out of non league clubs but out record isnt so good although we did get Wardy and Revell who we sold for £150k. John Keeley was probably one of our best signings from Non League. Codner Bisset but not much in recent years.

I disagree entirely - surely the way to find exciting players is to pluck them from obscurity?

How often does that happen though? He does have a point though.

Elder cost money failed

Pitcher cost money failed

Wright cost money failed

Loft free failed

Dixon? not sure if he was non league at the time.Cost money failed.

Revell cost money good return pass

Hart cost money best signing from non league for years. Pass

Success rate pretty poor and a huge gamble.

With the backing from Bloom we should be setting our sights higher.

I wouldn't call Wright a failure just yet. How many games has played? 7? The craving for immediate success from players is getting a little ridiculous.

What about Leeds, they bought Jermaine Beckford from obscurity when he was 23 and look at him now, there are some gems out there, surely we will dig one up sooner or later? right?

Freddie Eastwood came from non league i believe.

Bloom wants us to be in the championship by the time Falmer is completed.Do we have the time to take gambles or ones for the future? Hard call for the chairman i feel.
