"The MLS is probably on par with the middle or lower parts of the Championship,"

I've seen a few a games involving TFC and other MLS teams and to be quite honest, Brighton and a few other League 1 sides would piss all over them.

agreed - i watched a lot of toronto over there in 2007 and catch the odd mls game on espn, and the standard is completely f***ing shocking

It's not quite THAT bad IMHO; I've watched the New England Revolution's games on telly this season and they're ok - somewhere around the middle to lower ranks of the Championship seems about the level. The better-known MLS players do stand out a mile though. The league will gain in maturity once (or if) the decent homegrown US players stop gravitating towards the money in Europe.

I watched the Galaxy get spanked by Real Salt Lake the other day on ESPN and it was a poor game, the Galaxy in particular were woeful.
