almost every house in our close has cats and they chose my small veg patch as a toilet, so its all full of crap.
BUT the positive side is that my rhubarb has taken off and I hace around 20 shoots with leaves.
just about to propogate tomatoes, chillies, beans, lettuce and spring onions.
Got our peppers and chillis into our plastic greenhouse (£11.99 at B&Q) over the weekend.
Our first go at them. Here's hoping...

We've overwintered chilli plants with varying degrees of success. You need to cut it right back so there's just a stalk. Keep in indoors on a south-facing windowsill if you can. Water every couple of weeks, soil should be moist but not damp.Morning pepper heads. I need your advice on a Jalapeño plant.
I grew a plant on a windowsill earlier in the summer in direct sun and it struggled. Mrs CBH lobbed it outside in slightly less direct sunlight and it subsequently thrived.
It's now a foot tall and covered in flowers. I assume it's way too late for them to mature into chillies, but the question is, what do I do with the plant now?
I know they can be over wintered and they hate the frosts. Bring it back in? Prune it? And where will it be happy over winter? I want to give it a chance because it's a beauty. Please help.
