Say what you like about American sport, the way their transfer system works at least means that a wide variety of teams have a decent chance of making it to the showpiece event. As opposed to the same four teams slugging it out, year on year.

The Bears reach their first Superbowl since 1985

Yeah. Looks like New England are going to join them at this rate. That will be another superbowl for them then.

Wish the Browns were in it. They are in the same sorta position as us with the ground.

Since C4 coverage ended years ago I've rarely caught the NFL except occasional C5 highlights in the small hours, and so I still mentally regard teams like the Bears as successful/bigger than teams like the Buccaneers or Packers both of whom were shite when it was on C4 but have prob had much more success since those days.

You have to watch it, just for the spectacle, don't you?

I was always a San Francisco 49ers fan as a kid. They were pretty good back then. Been crap for years now though.

I've not been so excited about a sporting event in ages! Glad I made the effort to watch last night's matches (which were the first one's I'd watched since C4 showed it).

Bring on the Superbowl!!! :cheery: :cheery: :cheery: :cheery: :cheery: :cheery: :cheery: :cheery: :cheery: :cheery: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:
