They seem to be the new health food craze and after reading up on them, they do seem to be a bit too good to be true. Was wondering if anyone on here uses them or knows someone who does and could maybe tell me some of the pro's and con's and the best place to get them. I'm always very cautious with things like this so wanted to see others opinions before I go out and try them.

Here's a link showing some of the "supposed" benefits for those who don't know what they are: Top 10 Benefits of Eating Chia Seeds

Sounds awesome! Can't say i've any experience of them or have ever tried them, but if anyone has decent opinions i may give them a go! Always looking for shortcuts to lose a bit of weight, especially with the amex's food coming up again soon! ;)

Yeah, iv'e been reading round all over the web, and for every 10 great things I hear there's a couple of horror stories to match. I might buy a pack (relatively cheap, £3.50ish for 300grams) and see how it works for me.

Something to do with a seed getting caught in a cavity in the colon (as one of the benefits is colon cleansing) was followed by some infection and involved surgery and medication. Others have included anxiety and major migraines. Insomnia seems to affect a few people as well. But as i said earlier there's more positive stories than negative ones and I suppose it's dependent on your body as everyone's different.

For sure... Good luck with it! Be sure to let me know how you get on! I suppose as you say it depends on the individual, its whether the positives outweigh the risks!

Will do! I'll give it a week or so before I start preaching how amazing/horrific it is. I'm doing simply for the energy boost it promises if nothing else!

Holland and Barratt sell them. You can get a little bag for £2ish or bigger bags for £10ish. I prefer the non-milled. I have about a teaspoon's worth mixed in with goji berries and sunflower and pumpkin seeds for brekkie.
