Will the general public show their dissaisfaction with putting Cher through or would it be wronmg to suggest that the voting results are fixed and not a true record of how the votes went. This was suggested last year with Jedward and there is no guarantee that the voting is as is shown to be on the program. ITV can say the voting was however they wish it to be but surely they wouldnt do that would they!!!!

Like I said earlier, I can't see ITV doing this. There was a huge row a couple of years ago about TV phone-ins and since then the companies have been under close scrutiny. Why should ITV risk it? It would cost them huge amounts in fines and would damage their reputation, costing them advertisers.

Besides, Cowell is the winner whatever happens - I'm sure he's not fussed who wins as he gets the option to sign the loser as well, as happened with Rhydian (and could have happened with JLS although his company revoked the offer - bet he regrets that one). There's always just one winner on X Factor.

Have you ever watched an episode of X Factor? It's there for all to see.

OK, example - and this happens plenty of times:

Girl A walks on, looks quite good. Goes to sing, starts OK but then suddenly seems "nervous" for some reason. She says some rhubarb about "I can sing, honestly." (Cowell obviously already knows this). The crowd plead with Simon to give her another chance.

Simon says, "OK, what else can you sing?" The Girl A thinks of a song "off the top of her head" - and suggests it as if it is going to be an off-the-cuff unrehearsed performance.

MAGICALLY the sound guy has the music all ready to go immediately (is this guy some kind of PSYCHIC?!), cues it up and Girl A delivers an absolutely flawless (autotuned, and we do know this is true) performance (but remember, totally unplanned and totally unrehearsed, because she'd only just thought to do the song right then).

And Cheryl Cole does that shocked open mouth thing.

Yup, total contrived bollogs isn't it? One of the ones they had this series (the girl who did 'Rolling on the River' for her first song before Cowell stopped the music and requested that she sing something else) contained a carefully worked out, arty, from-the-stage-floor camera shot taken through the stiletto's she'd just kicked off. Oh the spontaneity NSC!

I just keep cracking up every time I here the name of the 'manufactured' female group is Bel Ami.

Doesn't Mr Cowel realise that this is also the name of a certain Czech based Gay Porn company !!!!! :safeway:safeway:safeway

I've not followed this thread at all, nor did I see the show, but I can exclusively reveal that Treyc Cohen, who was apparently rejected by Cole recently, has just been collected from her place of work (KFC, Tamworth) by Cheryl Cole and is being given some sort of second chance.

Another dramatic twist, this series could be the best ever.

I think you and Mello lad are actually wrong... They have to have 2 or 3 songs prepared so if the judges don't feel the original song was right for them or they weren't doing themselves justice they have another track already on the CD for them to sing??

I'm certain what you say is true. My point is the singer "acts" as if the song choice is spontaneous when it's quite obvious they had it as back up.

If what Bozza's saying has even a tiny element of truth to it then this is surely the biggest thing to happen on this board since planning permission was granted for a football stadium at Falmer!

Our Trey's back in everyone! Fookin' hell!!! OMG!!!!! Shiver me fuggin' timbers!!! I was like, she was like, he was like, they were like, we were like....OMG!!!

Yeh I know what you mean - there are a lot of blatantly fake moments in it. But as Hiney says it's light hearted family tele and to be honest I really like it!

One thing I would say is why the f*** have loads of people gone on to sing Lady fecking Ga-Ga? Almost ALL her songs aren't suitable ~(particularly bad romance) to a singing comp as all lady gagas songs are computer done voices... It's a horrendous choice of song and will never sound good even if Leona Lewis sang it!

Really? May I ask how you know?

This could mean no GAMU according to a quick google search :(

TreyC Cohen is a full time student... this reaks of a set-up - I think some acts are 'dropped' into work places for the benefit of the show. This allegedly happened with Leona Lewis and the office she worked in.

Seems to back up the point earlier though, that acts will be allowed back into the competition.
