Cherie Blair has got Swine Flu

That's only partly correct. The last flu pandemic (2000/2001) killed 21,000 - a normal year will kill about 6,500. Swine flu is expected to kill anywhere between 15,000 and 65,000 - no-one can be sure.

It's certainly not about to wipe out half the population but it is a significant virus. And the main difference is that swine flu is more likely to account for young adults as opposed to the elderly and the very young.

Well it's winter here and the people worst affected are pregnant women in their 2nd or 3rd Trimesters, and obese people. Age doesn't seem to be a factor.

Foolish, adrian. It is media hype, i mean, if there wasn't this, what other news would they grab onto? Many people i know have it, and in fact these last few days i have had it. The advice is to simply stay indoors for a couple of days and make sure you drink plenty of fluids. Unless you feel like your on deaths door, it works.

If you are old enough to remember, (and i don't mean this in a disrespectful way) the bird flu, mad cow disease etc etc, you will understand that, although it is something that makes you ill, is not a serious problem in this day and age.

You ARE 4 times as likely to die of normal influenza than swine flu, the figures show. Then again, believe what you wish, but i for one am not going to start worrying about 'what the news says', im going to live my blummin life.

SWINE flu is on the verge of a hideous and unstoppable mutation after contracting a virulent case of Cherie Blair, scientists have warned.

Poor old swine fluExperts who had predicted the virus was unlikely to mutate, now say that it definitely will and it is going to be disgusting.

Professor Henry Brubaker, of the Institute for Studies, said: "The Cherie virus will attach itself to the swine flu and suck at it like a big, patronising leech that thinks it's better than you.

"Viewed through a microscope the early form of the the mutant CherSwine virus looks like a spiky ball of pus with the mouth of Ronald McDonald.

"And after just ten minutes on the Petri dish it leapt into my wallet and started pocketing all the fivers."

Research scientists are now working frantically to develop a vaccine using a handful of questionable property deals, a dash of extreme Catholicism and an awful lot of Dettol.

According to Prof Brubaker a virus with the contagiousness of swine flu and the eye-gouging awfulness of Cherie Blair will be 'a bit like the Black Death, if it was obsessed with money and status'.

He added: "Have you seen 28 Days Later? I thought it was rather disappointing actually."

The public have been urged to reduce the risk of infection by avoiding new-age bullshit gurus, £1000 charity lunches and Bargain Books.

Crap Town
If Tony gets swine flu and pegs out it will be seen as divine retribution in some quarters.
