fine by me - both teams have to play on it?

That's true - on that basis they could play it in the Prince Regent Swimming Pool (actually, don't mention that idea to Maurinho) or Brighton beach. But - like the Stamford Bridge pitch - I don't think those are necessarily the best places for Mssrs Ronaldinho, Wright-Phillips etc to show what they're capable of.

No way is that cheating. In fact, the only people being cheated are the fans who will have to put up with less sublime football. Nonetheless, the scummy Chels fans will no doubt be happy as long as they win.

My friend bounced off an inflatable octopus and cut his head open on the pool-side at Prince regents. That was about 18 years ago. And i always felt like a pervert being in the kids pool. I had no chest-hair, but felt like an adult in a youngster's frame. My friend became unconscious, and a man in tight shorts came running to help him.

agreed - their should be some kind of standard theat a pitch has to be though - but can you imagine the ref saying sorry everyone the games off, ticket prices returned and the game rescheduled....

But just what WERE you doing in the kids' pool? PEEING in it? Is that why it's always warmer than the big pool?

I think some form of pitch-referencing celebration is in order if the mighty Barca score tonight, right in front of the "special" one.

I had and have boobs hiding unwarned nipples. They're kind of lonely deep near my ribs.

Despite the fact that the pitch is practically waterlogged and it's forecast to rain, Chelsea are still watering it.

Good forward planning. Water an already wet pitch just before Barca train on it, making it heavier, causing them to tire quicker.

There is, the ref can abandon a game if the pitch is waterlogged or dangerous, the fact is it isn't either and is completely playable
