Palace rely on pace and Zaha especially but the wide players are in the same postcode as the striker so can hit teams on the break especially away from home
Burnley know Barnes and wood don’t have the pace alone so Dyche isn’t daft enough to isolate them generally. They get the ball wide and into the box quick and direct which puts teams under pressure.

We missed a trick for sure when we did not see the valued of him. I’ve never been his greatest fan or his biggest critic But you can’t argue with his work rate and goals. He is invaluable to Burnley and allows them to play 2 CFs due to the work rate he has. Same applies to Wood really. 2 good CFs well used by the manager who make life uncomfortable for most teams in the league

Very true. I hate everything about Burnley but their combative confrontational style is the reason they are staying up comfortably as most of their players are Championship quality.
