I dont like Chelsea but I think that it will be bad for football in general if a 1 dimensional team like Stoke win anything. Coaches of youth and local teams will use Stoke as role models on how the game should be played and that would be wrong.

It's just a style of football, just because its not beautiful like Arsenals game doesn't mean its 'wrong'.:US:

Seeing Terry and Huth lining up in the tunnel together. Huth's first time back at Stamford Bridge since he left Chelsea. Do you reckon a little question was running through Huth's head? "He wouldn't have.. surely?"

And I don't think coaches of youth and local teams will ignore all the league, league cup, champions league, and international football and follow stoke just because they win the fa cup this year.

I tend to agree, in my opinion it's not much use playing attractive football and not getting the results, certainly not in todays game, when it is all about success / winning.

Up here in Wales, with the national rugby team, whenever they lose, all you ever hear about is things like "but the performance was positive" and stuff like that......yeah....but they lost!!!! it really does my head in :tantrum:

I do dislike Stoke with a passion, but hate Chelsea more......so, come on Stoke

Nice to see Stoke's assistant boss speaking on TV.

Peter Reid peels bananas with his feet
Bananas with his feet
Bananas with his feet.
Peter Reid peels bananas with his feet
etc

Best song EVER

What a load of premiership hype, yes they do try to play an advantage on the set pieces but how can a squad with Tunchay, Fuller, Whealan & Beattie be solely one dimensional?

Look at WBA they played nice pretty football under Mobray and look where it got them. Pulis had his plan to stay up for three season using these tactics and its worked very well.

What a load of SHIT.

Chelsea must be the most PASSIONLESS club I have ever seen in my life.

Lampard scores a good goal, and what do the crowd do? 'Wheeey.' CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP.

Seems common with Chelski and Wank United these days. They expect to score so frequently, that when they do it's just, 'oh we've scored again have we?'

Lower leauge football any day.

Stoke are unfairly maligned at times IMHO.

Yes they have been a very one dimensional team in the past, and they still tend to go with the big guys up front, but they have their share of creative players, and aren't all about lumping it.

Arsenal can crap on pretentiously about their beautiful football all they like, but they haven't won a thing for several years which suggests it's not creating as many goals as it should, and thus they can't be that entertaining.

Yes, yes, and YES.

This is what I mean when I say I much prefer watching the FL highlights on BBC to watching MOTD.

To fans of rather mediocre teams like us, every goal we score is something to treasure, an unexpectedly rare joy, a moment to be savoured just in case it's weeks or months until you see the next one. If I were to see Glenn Murray score at Withdean, I think my joy would be on a par with David Attenborough's on seeing a Blue Whale for the first time. Plus the added bonus at Withdean and a few resilient lower league clubs is that they don't ruin that precious, sweet, sweet moment by playing SHIT music the second the ball hits the net, reducing the crowd to vacuous clapping in the blink of an eye.

At Arsenal/Chelsea/United/etc it just seems to be a mild cheer, a spot of golf applause, maybe a couple of wanker signs at the away fans then back to reading the programme.

Too true, it infuriated me after the CC final last weekend - it looked like they had won a regular fixture, both players and fans.

Just how can they appreciate the full experience?

I would love it that was us, though.

"Mmmm, another Carling Cup to go with all the other cups the Albion have won..."
