[Albion] Chelsea tickets

The guest tickets thing (and the club not knowing who is sitting in the seat) is definitely an anomaly, but still managed by the club.

That's different to allowing, say, 2000+ Albion fans being free to distribute their Man United or Chelsea tickets as they wish.

Honestly, can you imagine that?!

(Don't get me wrong - I wish we still had a book of tickets, to use as we wished. But, also, I can see why the club wants control too.)
There is no difference. St holder is responsible for person he buys a guest ticket for and would be same if he passed his ticket on

2261 people don't fancy it this week/can't make it

More left than the Villa game when I was bored enough to count up the tickets, so we could be in for another slightly blue looking Amex on Wednesday

Plenty of Albion fans have overseas holidays booked for this period. In complete contrast to this time last year, when no one wanted to miss a thing.

A very long run of hugely losses/draws meant that a raft of fans mentally ditched this season.

Presumably you live in Brighton or surrounding area ? Driving up from Dorset , which is beset with roadworks around Southampton airport and ironically, near to Brighton Airport, then not getting home before 12.30 am (if lucky) and doing the breakfast show on the Thursday morning, I'll give it a miss !
Typical attitude of a JCL.

Well there is...

In the first instance, a STHer is actively purchasing tickets for guests and agreeing to T&Cs whilst doing so. The club can limit how many can do this, and for which games, and has a record of exactly when it happens.

If you pass on a ticket to a random, it's a casual arrangement which the club would know nothing about, and can't monitor. It loses control.

Slightly shocked at this, unless they are all kids in exam season.

Villa had a Bank Holiday excuse. This does not.

Another indicator of what a shitshow it is getting to and from The Amex these days that people are binning off midweek games
Or just a fairly fickle fan base? I bet the Man Utd home game at the same point last season didn’t have this many spares

Serious question . . . . Why to pensioners get concessions? The current generation of pensioners are unique in being the only ones who can afford to retire , live the same life AND go to the football . . .I don't get it.

most of us will never be able to retire regardless of how long we live, certainly not if we want to watch weapons grade soccer with seafood Bruschetta And chilled Rose at half time!
Surely you should be hoping even more then that the convention of concessions for pensioners continues long into the future. We all get old one day.

Yes deffo a ballache for midweek games of which many cannot be arsed with it all
For our part, my MIL and I are making the trip down from London for this. Fully prepared for the possibility we'll be sharing the train back with a bunch of smug Chelsea fans but hopeful it'll be us with the smug expressions :albion2:

Using Brighton and Manchester United’s support numbers as a comparison? …..hmmmm?

(Unless of course I’m being whooshed here, it’s well early)
You may recall last season we played Man Utd at home on Thursday 4th May with an 8pm kick off, when we were chasing 6th place and on a fantastic run.

I’m wondering if we had 2000+ ‘empty’ seats on the exchange for that game 😉
