I'm so old it seems like only yesterday talk of refurbishing Stamford Bridge consisted of moats and electric fences.

minus the 800 seats at they away end, a whole 700 people some times did not turn up when they could. Tut, tut, tut, what a fickle bunch we are. As people had said maybe a lot of them were season ticket holders who could not make on those days, I know I missed a few through work etc. They used to count the tickets use then, not sold. The reason I bought a season ticket even though I lived in Reading was because it was bloody difficult to buy tickets for individual games certainly in the early days.

I seriously can not believe you can even begin to comment on why some people may choose to skip some games.

If you ever get a time machine, go back to a time to when we were there. Sit in the south stand on a very wet windy cold winters day so that your clothes are so wet that you could have sat in a full bath and been dryer and watch your team hoof the ball from one end of the pitch to the other and inevitably lose. When you have done that we can continue this discussion, because you will then be able to do it with some understanding.
the average attendance i quoted was your BEST year, it was a thousand or more lower than that most of the time, anyway back to the 20000 odd who DIDNT bother going .....

Going off topic. If/when we get to the Prem, are we able to increase the Amex capacity?

I don't think so. I recall Derek Chapman said something to this effect.

right , i'll state my case , im a season ticket holder at brighton , ive had 4 season tickets for 3 years , i gave up my chelsea season ticket last year, so ive no interest in simply slagging off brighton, but it amazes me how brighton fans can self righteously slag off plastics, jcl's or whatever you want to call them when their own team couldnt fill an 8000 capacity ground until very , very recently, ive been given various excuses such as the terrible facilities , rubbish quality of football , all things that chelsea suffered from until they got a rich benefactor , you really ought to be able to see the parallels , if brighton dont get promotion or went back down to league one then i can guarantee they will see fans deserting in their droves , hopefully it wont happen and ''we'' will get promoted this year, either way i'll be back next season along with my kids.

I'm really pleased you and the kids enjoy the Albion. But i dont think you can lecture other Albion fans on the merits or otherwise of their distain of other clubs

West Ham will struggle the most once people have been to their new ground and seen how shite the view is.

This. West Ham's council house is going to be gash.

They're sold out, but their capacity is only 40000, as for spurs , youre talking out of youre arse.

No, no he isn't. Spurs currently have a 30,000 long waiting list for season tickets apparently. They are a massive club.

Really ? Youre a new zealander and you dont seem to have a problem commenting on political threads about the UK.
