F***ing hell. I started off on this thread confident I knew what side I was on. but, honestly, that is as big a pile of nonsense as the "nothing to see here" reaction to the OP. Is this normal? Really? Only I fly about twenty four times a year for work and once had so many air miles I bought a holiday to St Lucia. I have flown in some of the most unsafe aircraft in the world. I have flown through or in to several major shitholes. And I've never seen that for a couple of normal Joes returning from their holidays. The crowds at Indian airports are generally five to ten people deep yet they are all silent unless Sachin Tendulkar himself happens to be flying in.

Pick your battles. You do anti-racism a massive disservice with this nonsense.
Joes ?? A rather unfortunate choice of words :lolol:

You mentioned free speech. What are they saying? If they're chanting intolerance I'll condemn it no question. Again if the person they're welcoming is a hate preacher I'll condemn it.
All I know now is that you're saying a group of muslims at an airport is the same or worse than the racism in the OP.

My answer for your free speech is that we all have and should have that right but we should all have it equally which is where the problem is and will allways be as religion and beliefs blind us imagime if that video was say an english sniper returning from Egypt having wiped 21 isis members out and the crowd where his supporters in the airport tjere would be bloody riots i think ? The world is getting more dangerous and acollision course globally is on the cards . So i really wouldnt worry about one person in Paris nt being allowed to get on the metro with some chelsea articles there are much bigger things happening in the world.

Even the briefest of Googles throws you off at two opposite tangents. Follow the left and they are harmless Sufi idealists. Follow the right and they're about to blow up Britain. My challenge is this: why do they need the police escort and welcoming committee? That's not normal is it?

If they chanted in English (they are, after all, in England), then we might have a better idea what they're banging on about!

Next time run the video, right click and select Get URL at current time. Then copy that link. Then on here click the Insert Video link second from the end in "quick reply" to the thread and paste in the link. I've done it for you here though.

it actually needs watching. To me this is every bit as unacceptable as the OP. An interesting moral question on where we draw the line on free speech awaits to which I have no answers.

I got half way through that video as it wasn't doing my headache any favours.
I will never complain about the North Stand police box crew singing Yankee Doodle again after listening to that lot:D

At the risk of arguing with everyone on the thread, if a group of French black people stopped a white Londoner getting on the tube at Baker St it'd be a pretty big effing deal in every right leaning paper and website in the country never mind NSC.

It's wrong what the Chelsea fans did. It's ignorant, history ignoring, like Rosa Parks never happened wrong. But so is letting Muslim extremists burn poppies / protest at funerals. And i acknowledge the fans on the OP are not representative of Chelsea fans as a whole so it would be nice if we could acknowledge that arch c**t Anjam Choudhury and the fellas who go off to fight for ISIS are not representative of Islam as a whole.

I'm off to bed.

I like to read everyone's opinion on threads like this, some I agree with and some I don't but you are entitled to your opinion the same as the next person.
Some people have just given you personal insults without saying anything interesting themselves.

I'm guessing you mean this video. Search on twitter and it pops up on a lot of far right Islamophobic websites. Thing is, not one identifies who the person is or translates what the crowd is chanting. Without those facts you're just being a bigot imo
crap ,the fact they're mob handed giving it large in a UK airport says enough for me:angry:

He is indeed a sufi preacher, sufis are about as threatening or dangerous as a bunch of Hare Krishnas on a lentil overdose.

I imagine the police escort is there for protection, the more violent aspects of Islam hate the peaceloving sufis with a vengeance,a high profile target like that would be a bit of a coup for the loonies and be incredibly embarrassing for the authorities.

I can deal with that mate ,treat them with the contempt they deserve, some of them don't like an honest opinion

F*ck*ng small minded scumbags the lot of them.

PS I told them that so don't give it the keyboard warrior b*ll*cks.

Back on op thread subject. While those Chelsea fans were 100% in wrong. I can't help think that they are being made examples of as they are Chelsea fans. Had this been Leeds, Liverpool, Man U or Newcastle it would have been totally ignored by the media & wouldn't have created the fuss it has. This sort of thing happens a lot at football crowds throughout uk & worse in Europe. I'm not sticking up for them, but this is another media witch hunt / trial by media when those out there who have done a lot worse don't get any attention

Just to lighten the thread one of the funniest things I ever saw was when I was in the trident in Bombay when tendulkar was dropped off at reception followed by about 8 billion urchins who simply passed by the two massive sikh security guards and swarmed into the bar, it was like 101 Dalmatians, the funniest thing I have ever witnessed, I have never seen anything like it. A hotel bar turned upside down by street kids like that, was the maddest thing I ever saw. Tendulkar was a gentleman though, took it all in his stride. Anyway, back to the moaning.
