Just googled him and not only did he play some pathetic poltroon who ran away from Ian Beale as @jackalbion brilliantly found above, he also played Toby the hapless son of Simon Day’s “competitive Dad”. May explain his insecurity and all round pathetic nature!!!

96% of NSC regularly describe Bournemouth as tinpot and plucky, so presumably those same people have no issue sucking it up on this occasion and are fine with the comments made.
To be fair,... he is going a lot further than just being a bit dismissive of a team, this guy is digging at the Albion big time... he deserves some reciprocal reactions.

That’s exactly what he wants, more interactions and more publicity.

This guy is a pathetic ‘two-bob’ online ‘celebrity’ - just ignore him and he’ll eventually fade away

Is there such a thing a short football fan syndrome? (For reference Alan Shearer is 6 foot tall which makes Rory about 5ft 6).

It’s almost as if he reads NSC wanking himself stupid because we occasionally take the piss out of massive Wednesday. That’s his go to club who should replace us in the PL.

Still going...

'We've had so many all English Champions League finals of late'

There have been three in the history of the competition. Two recently. Four wins in 15 years.

Is he a Chelsea fan ? Could he tell me there most recent trophy to the Russian taking over ? I can help, it was 1971. They were a two bob club.

If you take his ‘heritage club’ Schtick to it’s ultimate conclusion, then Wanderers, Old Etonians, Royal Engineers, and Blackburn Olympic would still be the Big 4, as they were when English football first became organised.

His Johnny come lately club, Chelsea FC, weren’t founded until 1905, 4 years after‘insignificant’ Brighton and Hove Albion.

They won the FA, League and UEFA Cups in the late 90s before the Russian money came along (off the back of the investment made by the late Matthew Harding). But before that FA Cup win in 1997 they'd gone 26 years without winning anything (unless you count the Zenith Data Systems Cup, and no-one counts that).

"Great clubs like Ajax aren't able to compete with Premier League teams." Or it seems, other Eredivisie teams:

35 points behind PSV that season. You might have expected somebody who champions the traditional European giants as much as Rory does, somebody who makes a living talking about football, to have noticed that Ajax, to put it mildly, weren't pulling up any trees domestically that season. Them finishing well behind FC Twente and AZ Alkmaar doesn't particularly support the narrative that it's EPL small fry like Brighton's fault that they're not in the Champions League final. Surely Rory's not the sort who does no research, pays no attention to anything but his own club and just mouths off against any change he notices to what he had assumed was the traditional static order of things. He wouldn't just assume, because he has heard of them, that Ajax hadn't slipped out of the top 50 of the European Club Index, sitting behind not only the nouveau riche of the EPL, but also behind 39 clubs from across the continent.

His other two examples of great clubs of a bygone era who are unable to compete with the obscene levels of cash that we've got (from Chelsea) also tell interesting stories. Partizan, the Serbian 2022/23 runners up who reached their only ever European final in 1965/66, would obviously have waltzed to Europa Cup glory if not for having to face the obscene wealth of erm... Nordsjaeland who beat them 6-0 over a two leg play off.

Benfica made the quarter finals of the Europa league, going out to Marseille, who had also drawn with and beaten Ajax at the group stage. Poor little, unable to compete, Benfica also sit above Brighton in the euroclub index and went into last season having recently made a €50m profit on Darwin Nunez, a player whose signature they had secured despite competition from.... Brighton, that team they can't compete financially against.

As my gran used to say 'He just opens his mouth and lets his belly rumble.'

Yeah, Jennings is an insufferable little goon. No idea how he has even got a role as a “football pundit”, he’s clueless, possibly worse than Mark Goldbridge? Media companies should stop giving these nomarks a platform.

Definitely worse than Goldbridge - he's actually alright and objective when it comes to different clubs. Jennings is just walking clickbait. Made me laugh he was wanging on about Leeds, who spent years getting back to the PL and facked it up completely.

I guess that's Brighton's fault too :lolol:

He’ll be loving all this outrage. That’s the entire point of his carefully crafted abuse, and the entire point of TalkSport obligingly asking if he wants to apologise. Clicks, dear boy, clicks. Don’t forget to hit subscribe to drive up the followers and the advertising revenue and the commission. How can you not understand this?
