Brighton have put in audacious bid to lure Harry Kane from Munich to The Amex. Once the Euros are over they are to offer £100,000 and six month loan of Lewis Dunk in exchange to German club. Chelsea expected to offer a billion euros over 20 years to scupper deal #CFC #BHAFC

All these stories remind me of something that happened a few years ago with my business. My competitor hasn't a clue how to run his shop and just copies everything I do and all the lines that I sell. About 10 years ago I purchased what I thought was going to be a huge line, a bug eyed toy. Sadly it flopped and I sold just a couple. But then I had an idea, and put it in a prime selling spot for a day and got a rep to pop in. He then went to my competitor and said what a massive line it was, selling 100's. He promptly sold my stock, at a profit, to him! Think he still has a few on the shelf all these years later.

When I ran my business I developed and manufactured some engine and car parts, some of which were updates/improvements ( for competition) of standard production 1960's car Components, long since out of production.

for virtually everything you get 6 months to a year before someone gets hold of it and copies it. . . . .depending how complex it is.

WHat I found most telling is most people don't develop or test, that takes time/money and requires a modicum of skill. They just copy . . . Sometimes they copy copies, so I have had to laugh at a few people who thought they were getting a better deal, but sat there with boxes of shiny shit that didn't even fit, let alone work.

SOmetimes things didn't work But I never found a scatter gun approach that worked, not did buying everyone elses stock so people had to buy mine!

I know Winstanley is there, so he would've known our short term targets etc, but do you think Boehly is just that f***ed off he couldn't buy the Albion and that we've stiffed them for a fortune recently, that he's just being petty, hijacking transfers, f***ing around to stick it to the Albion? Or is that just going down a weird conspiratorial rabbit hole? As someone else said on another thread, Chelsea seem to have gone a bit Baby Reindeer on us.
