Pointless as UEFA has said the maximum amortisation period is 5 years. They don't know what they are doing. Based on £500m spent under Boehly, the minimum amount of amortisation UEFA will allow is £100m pa, about what the Champions League winners get. This is a car crash waiting to happen.
New rules don’t kick in until the Summer window I don’t think

shirley Potter must be thinking of resigning with the long term vision going so badly, cant be expected to manage with all these top players being dropped on him. 🙄

Which is presumably why Chelsea are trying to rush it through now, whatever the cost. It's a long way from the ideas Chelsea fans had of Potter coming in to build a team rather than Abramovich/petrol state ownership policy of buy, buy, buying one!

I can HONESTLY see Chelsea Todd coming in with a £200m bid for Caicedo before the transfer window SLAMS shut tomorrow night.

Meanwhile, whatever you think about the beheaders taking over the Newcastle, the model there does seem to be a *little* bit restrained, given the amount of cash they have. I thought they would've spent a lot more than they have by now.

IF he does, insist on including Colwill in the deal, therwise trot on!

I think Potter must feel very conflicted. On the one hand it's not what he was sold, on the other Todd seems to be backing him in the long run so it's likely he/they will be challenging on all fronts simply by default from next season.
I think he’ll be elated.

Chelsea have cheated their way into giving him brilliant tools to work with. On a scale/speed that surpassed PSG and Citeh’s first round of cheating.

Too late though. UEFA are bringing that in.

Certainly Winstanley seems a little redundant
I don't think he is though, if you look at the young players Chelsea have bought on tick lately it is probably just Boehly purchasing Winstanleys wish list.

Fofana 21yrs old
Mudryk 22
Badiashile 21
Madueke 20
Gusto 19
Chukwuemeka 18
Santos 18
Felix on loan is only 23.

All very much a Winstanley shopping list.

Reckon my Mum could get Chelsea into the top 4 with the squad there now.

Completely fail to see the point of both Potter and Winstanley.
Depends what win bonus she offers I think…….

Agreed - though none of this spending rings true with 'long term project'. I think they'll demand a title challenge next season, and possibly a top 4 finish this time around. Just can't see him being the man to reap the benefit unless there's a massive and rapid upturn in results.

Just the quarter of a billion.
