I’m being ‘forced’ to take my current client team to our box - no colours allowed but free booze, free food. It will be a hardship!!

Like others giving this a miss due to Athens. Did Chelsea in the cup so that covered the Stamford Bridge visit for the season

Sussex but not by the sea
I’m back from Athens on Friday. Torn on this, mainly because there is every chance our team will be knackered and I don’t want to experience losing to that shower of ****s twice in 2 months. On the other hand I took my eldest to the cup game and my youngest wanted to go but it was a school night so a no. So I could take him to this one and I’d be gutted to miss it if we do get something. I think I’m talking myself into it….

Friend has trouble standing so we buy seats in front row. Obviously these sell out early hence we buy at the first opportunity.
I know a few that used to do that. However, in this instance, SU3 was opened in 2 parts later on. There are front row in SU3 available.

It is becoming more prudent to 'hold back' a tad.

I agree though, it shouldn't be so.

So you got the front row seats you wanted then?
Yes, but at 9:00 when tickets go on sale I'd like the oportunity to purchase in block SU4 rather than SU1. I could have sat for 24 hours a day pressing refresh waiting for SU4 to come online, but I've better things to do, like plan our 3 days in Amsterdam or make the sarnies for Everton as getting up Saturday at 4:30 am I don't have time.

And you don't HAVE to get your ticket as soon as Tier 1 slot opens!

There is an inherent "danger" in all this both for the club and the fans. For the fans you may wait for something to open, having to keep looking and refreshing, only to find that either it does open and you missed it or it never opens at all. For the club they have to make a decision at some time as to whether to take a full allocation and i am sure a big part of this is looking at current sales. Thus if too many people take up the option of waiting for something to open then their figures may be skewed and a decision made on poor info resulting in loss of sales and unhappy fans.
As i said earlier in this thread i cannot believe that this is not going to sell out so why they have done this piecemeal release in this case is beyond me.
Currently about 700 still on sale with just SU4 to open so total sales about 1900 and today about 600 sold. Looking good for Friday availability.

Anyone have the latest figures of how many left please
Around 620 - only SU2 looks sold out - wonder if there is one block still to open on the right hand side - not sure
