I like Barnes but he was well out of order there. He scored the goal and made his point. Alright he lost it in the heat of the moment but he should have the balls to appologise.

It wasn't long ago that we were all lambasting Dean Hammond for doing something similar - in fact this is worse.

I can only assume it's been dealt with in house and he's learnt his lesson.

Some people don't realize that football fans like us, tend to be... partasian. You know, we SUPPORT our team, and everything they do like this is right, its all a foul, not a dive when its our player. Change the circumstance adn its all awful for football. Because we're not neuteral. Emotion dictates over cognative hought when watching or debating thigns like this...

Barnes scored his goal in front of the Argyle fans, but played down his celebration after the match.

Whilst I agree in principle, Hammond and Nathan Jones had never been showed anything but support. Barnes by all accounts was given dog's abuse.

Nathan Jones definitely!

But Hammond had a vitriolic hate campaign against him on NSC from The Complete Meles Meles and a few others. Proof that some players read NSC.

Well from what you see on the highlights he is quite restrained then all of a sudden he gestures which suggests to me he responded to something that was said from the crowd. Stupid to respond but hardly anything to get upset about. Hammond on the other hand immediately ran and taunted the Albion fans after his goal. Totally different.
