I like Barnes but he was well out of order there. He scored the goal and made his point. Alright he lost it in the heat of the moment but he should have the balls to appologise.

It wasn't long ago that we were all lambasting Dean Hammond for doing something similar - in fact this is worse.

I can only assume it's been dealt with in house and he's learnt his lesson.

Argyle_Jon seems quite a cool dude, he has the Nationwide strapline tattooed on his leg!

I might get "The bank that likes to say YES" on mine....what do you think?

I think it would look very fetching, especially when you're wearing your checked shorts.

If I was a footballer I rekon I'd go and swear at the family stand every game. I wouldn't even wait to score a goal, I'd just stroll up and make some hand signals or use a bit of foul language.

Those Plymouth fans are HILARIOUS. They keep calling him a "bar steward" rather than "b*stard". All of them. In every single bloody post. HA HA HA HA HA HA how clever!!! Because "bar steward" sounds a bit like "b*stard" yeah? Geddit. HA HA HA HA.

And people have the temerity to say that West Country folk are thick, illiterate, backwards, unevolved, inbred fuckwits with the intelligence of a f***ing pig.

How dare they, couldn't be further from the truth........

Maybe if we didn't give players so much stick when they play for us they wouldn't feel so happy when the shove it up us after scoring against us.

He's moved on, playing for a better team who fans respect him and scoring goals. Do you think he really cares what the bitter small minded masses write on here? Get over it.

I agree and if I was a Plymouth fan I would be annoyed. However I'm an Albion fan so yes Dean Hammond is a complete ****...

Whilst I agree in principle, Hammond and Nathan Jones had never been showed anything but support. Barnes by all accounts was given dog's abuse.

I agree too. I posted that on PASOTI, and one guy in particular has massive issues with the fact that Barnes did whatever he did (looks like a simple strongarm gesture to me) in front of their family stand. He calls that "abusing children". Because obviously those children will never, ever have heard or seen anything more horrifying at a football game than a strongarm "f*** you" gesture.

What do you think those poor children will more likely take to school with them tomorrow: Barnes' gesture or memories of 200 home fans singing songs about taking it up the arse and being queer? I wonder...

Check out this comment from PASOTI too (not to do with Barnes, just a reflection on the game in general)

it was the fact that we were tactically blown away that annoys and worries me, man for man we have a better team, no doubt about it... a huge amount of our players would walk into their team.

:lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

Perhaps I need to watch them again, as I wouldn't pick a single one of their players on Tuesday's performance.

With the possible exception of Noone.
