Yeah it's on Canvas!
Oh I say! Take it to an auctioneers to get it valued then. A lot of 'em will prob's do it for free if you utter the immortal words: "I'm interested in putting this painting up for auction with YOU etc etc". It'll work like a charm.
ps Even if it is only a good repro', It'll be worth a tidy sum I'd imagine. Good luck with it hon & let us know how you get on.
If it's on a canvas - it could be an origional. If not, forget it.
Not necessarily - many of the old guys painted on wood panels when canvas wasn't avialable, but by and large canvas is probably a good sign.
