£20 kids, £30 Railcard Holders, £45 adults.

Brighton > Gatwick > Reading > Plymouth - way down.

Plymouth > Paddington > Victoria > Brighton.

Typed in 'Avoid' London Paddington, but still gave me Paddington Route on the way home - S'alright, though.

Yes; getting the 0707 from Brighton, 1754 from Plymouth.

I booked mine via The Train Line. National Rail were showing £30.05 with a 16-25 card, but when it sent me to the actual Ticket Provider (SouthWest Trains etc), it wasn't showing the trains NR were showing. So I went with TTL.

Was £65 (inc P&P) for 2 of us in the end. Both YP Card holders. Am happy with that still.

Cheers for that.
On the subject of trains, Swindon away, go via Guildford and change at Gatwick Airport. Takes no longer than going via paddington, may even be a bit quicker even, but is alot cheaper.
£11.90 return from brighton, Adult + Child (im 15 for the day:wink:) is £11.90 with Family railcard.

Only payed £13.90 going Via. Paddington (And I'm travelling Legally [YP Card]). But you are right, avoiding London, is cheaper in most cases.

Fair enough.. when i looked it was about £8 or £9 extra for the two of us, and for the sake of one extra change i thought it was worth it.
Hardly ever check your tickets anyway, and when they do, not alot they can do to say your not the age you say.

Them Family Railcards are excellent. Travelled on one of them for a whole season, (2008/2009 season), and was getting to places like Manchester for £10. Excellent value. Just used to add a year onto my real D.O.B.

Swindon can be bought on day with groupsave 3/4 - approx £15/£20 adult each return going via Gatwick/Reading route.

Have you tried the southern website? That can be pretty cheap and no booking fee like the trainline.

I did, yeah. But it wasn't showing the 0707 train from Brighton on there. It was £21 RETURN on there, but that was if you was prepared to get into Plymouth at 1625 :lolol:.
