By the seaside in West Somerset
As there appears to be no reason to believe the original suggestion that it was something other rhan a referee's decision I'm going to guess that this is just pissing in the wind and either a case of (charitably) chinese whispers or otherwise an excuse to create a bit of sensationalism around the fact the game was called off.

It seems that every game in the area (at a ground without undersoil heating) has been postponed so no great mystery and clearly time to move on.

The seaside.
Charlton v Saints called off because one of the linesmen thought his line was a bit hard/slippy, and refused to swap sides when the other lino (who thought conditions were fine) offered. 18,000 inconvenienced 'cause one lino wants to get home for his Boxing Day dinner. *sigh*

After arriving outside dagenhams ground at 10.30, recieved a call saying called of 30 seconds early.

Franticly sought another game to attend, Charlton v Saints cool

Phoned ticket office, seats on general sale and purchased two.

Arrived at the charltons local 11.20, to be advised it was subject to a f***ing 11.30 inspection.

Few beers and a kebab later, annoucment 12pm Game OFF, 30 minutes queue for a refund. Fun
