why do you need the underground?

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
Underground, Overground wombling free...

I guess he might be going to North Greenwich for some unknown reason.

Much easier to go overground to either Westcombe Park, Charlton or Blackheath. The first two options being the closest, Blackheath having the best pubs.

It worked out cheaper for me, getting 2 advance singles from southern to London Victoria. Then buying a return from clapham junction to charlton, going via waterloo. You wont be with as many albion fans and it is the long way round but it may work out cheaper so try it.

Got a Southern Daysave for £10 each. Valid on any train on a Saturday, as long as it is Southern! Never had a problem on football day from Charlton to London Bridge so ;-)

Only SouthEastern go to Charlton, though. Buy the add-on from London Bridge separately.

Unless, of course ";)" has a meaning that I haven't ... quite ... grasped. :)

How and where did you get that?

In particular the South Eastern group save ticket.

The south eastern bit is just a group save that you can buy from any station on the day.

Days Out Guide - GroupSave Train Tickets

The other bit you can buy from one stop travel in the Old Steine.

Not sure if you can get all the way to London Bridge on Southern trains though.

I'm doing Brighton-Charlton return £11.45 with the Groupsave4

According to the National Rail website Group Save tickets can be used on the following train services.

Here is the quote from the website...

"GroupSave - for small groups travelling together

Who offers small group discounts?

c2c, Chiltern Railways, East Midlands Trains, First Capital Connect, First Great Western, First ScotRail, London Midland, London Overground, National Express East Anglia, Southeastern, Southern and South West Trains allow three or four adults or children to travel for the price of two adults on various off-peak ticket types."

I had also heard you can buy them from the station on the day, or is this information wrong?
